A few items are onback order (1500 chargemaster) which should be coming in early June. I figure by the second week of June I will...

Re: Got my Cooper...
Awesome! I've got a cooper on order myself. A Varmint Extreme in .204 Ruger. I'm putting a Zeiss conquest 6.5-20 x 50 with rapid z varmint reticle on it. I ordered the rifle back in mid April, but was told it could be up to 6 months to get it (the wait is hard). How long did it take for yours to ar...

Got my Cooper...
Picked up my Cooper Model 38 Jackson Varminter in .17 Fireball yesterday. When I finally make that PD trip (now next year due to my recent health spat) this gun will be in the three gun arsenal which will consist of a 5.56, .204 and the .17 Fireball. Cooper Firearms of Montana - Model 38 Jackson Var...

Re: Can someone enlighten me on "barrel twist rates"?
One thing that I liked about the Les Baer Super Varmit in .204 was that it has a 1:10 twist. Seems 1:12 can be a little sensative to bullet weighing 40 grains or more. 39-40 seems to be the threshold. Not a golden rule, as some rifles do just fine, well, many do. But that seems to be the consensus ...

Here's a pic of me in the woods with my new Les Baer Super Varmit AR-15 chambered in .204. So far this rifle will flat out shoot!! Had a blast in the field today plinking at rocks at 150-175 yards and nailing them was childs play! Very fun rifle and worth every penny. http://inlinethumb09.webshots....

Re: Noveske .204 AR15 has arrived
Well I did not make it out on Sunday but I did make it on Monday out to my property which is only good for 100 yard range. I generally like to zero my .204's at 200 yards but no big deal, a slight twaek will fix it later. Anyway after I got her on paper I let her cool down, gave her a quick cleaning...

Re: Cooper Jackson Varminter
Sold - I just won the Auction on Gunbroker and I will be the proud new owner of a Cooper Jackson Varmint in 17 Fireball. I got it for about $200 less than what Whittaker Guns in Owensboro, KY quoted me on the same gun. Add in the $25 for freight and $25 transfer fee and I am still in good shape. I g...

Not too shabby for a relativly inexpensive out of the box gun. Its just a Sako with plain clothes on....
Like I said I love my Tikka (OK my 15 y/o son says it's his), anyway he took his first buck last year with it and we like it.
Enjoy it, always fun to get a new one...

Nice. Those Tikkas are nice guns and you get alot for the money, actions are slick as glass too. I have a T3 Lite in 25-06 and love it.
