Re: cooper rifles?

Foxs, kangaroos and rabbits out to 350 400 yards all going well on my end I would put a Zeiss with one of the Rapid Z reticles on it. Go to Zeiss' web site and use the ballistic calculator thing and see hat you come up with. I'm betting the Z1000 would prolly work on the 6.5 as well. It tells you w...

My newest Savage - The Black Mamba.!.!.!.!.!

Been wanting a 308 bolt gun that was more on the heavy tacticool side for some long rangetarget shooting and just geneally hving fun. It may make its way to a big comfy condo stand to kill a deer, we'll see as I have plenty of lighter guns for that stuff. Here are the particlulars; Savage Model 10 -...

Re: cooper rifles?

Big B, The eye eye relief is a bit touchy. However, I was able to settle in to it easy enough and now I don't even notice it. For me, at least, it is a very comfortable package. Jon On edit: You are right, we SHOULD trust....but we MUST verify (for ourselves as individuals). Cool man..... and yep, ...

Re: cooper rifles?

Big B, I have a Phoenix .204, Talley one piece rings and Viper 6.5-20X44. If you are wondering, I love the performance of the entire package. I'm not tempted to change any of it at all. This is my full time "truck rig", so it gets hot, cold, dusty and bounced around. Each shot is fired wi...

Re: Pics of a couple of LRPV's

In all seriousness, I've had the chance to spend a bit of time with an LRPV in 6 BR and it would absolutely drive nails. Mine is the most accurate gun in my safe.... And I have two safes filled with with all flavors of rifles - Coopers, Kimbers, Wby's, Tikkas, Sako's Custom shop Remington, full off...

Pics of a couple of LRPV's

My buddy brought over his Savage LRPV tonight for me to get his scope mounted up and I took a couple pics of it. He bought this rifle on my recommendation as I have an LRPV in 6mm Norma BR and it is the most accurate gun in my safe. It's one of those guns where you really don't have to try hard at a...

Re: cooper rifles?

Well that is great choice looking into the Coopers but there is one issue with them. They are such a fine rifle with excellent fit and finish and above average accuracy but the problem is they are expensive and you will not be satisfied with your first one................... because you will already...

Re: First trip to the range with my 204.

Man you don't log in here in awhile and you come back and find new riffraff hanging around.... I know this guy and not only is he a good guy who loves rifles as much as most of us do but he also owns one really nice Cooper in a big deer cartridge. Trying to get him to buy a couple more of them in so...

Ruger m77 MKII - thoughts, performance

A friend of mine just picked up a Ruger M77 MKII varmint in 204, brown laminate, gun metal grey finish, wide beaver tail stock on it. This is last years model and the dealer indicated that he had a couple dozen that he was getting from Ruger at a discounted priced that he wanted to move. dealer is i...
