Re: 40 Berger vs 40 Nosler vs 39 Sierra?
Favorite rifle in .204, Tikka T3 Varmint for long range with Meopta 4-16x44mm scope. Browning Composite Stalker for walk around, truck gun (Light and it has a plain jane Nikon 4X40mm Monarch UCC scope). CZ Kevlar is a great gun, but CZ bolts are rough in their sliding. Kimber is great , but not a gr...

40 Berger vs 40 Nosler vs 39 Sierra?
I have had no luck shooting 40 grain Vmaxs, Nosler 40 grain work good, 39 Sierra work great. I have just got some 40 grain Berger Bullets and have not had a chance to try them. The 35 grain Berger are fantastic. I have several 204 rifles (Kimber Pro-Varmint, CZ Kevlar, Tikka Varmint, Browning Varmin...

Re: 40gr VMAX's vs Noslers performance?
I like the Noslers better than the Vmaxes, but I wonder how the Berger 40 grain bullets compare? The 35 grain Berger's are great. Food for thought.

Re: Does anyone load the .204 for use in the AR-15.
You can neck die for bolt action, but semis need to be FL. You might want to keep a close eye on your OAL, because if you use a .223 magazine the case on a .204 is 0.09" longer than .223 case.

Re: Calhoon and HSM ammo?
I have used about 500 rounds of the 33 grain bullets loaded by Hunting Shack (bought directly from them cheaper). They shoot excellent, but I would opt for the 39 grain bullets for coyotes. I have not shot calhoon 39 grain bullets yet. I have mic the bullets and they are very uniform. I have read se...

The 39 grain Sierra Federal, if your gun likes them. My CZ loves them.

Re: 40 grain V-Max and 1-12 twist barrels
I think you are right about a 11 to 1 twist, but it might "over stabalize" a 32 grain bullet. The big ad for .204 was it was the fastest factory round (4000 ft./sec+)and they needed a 32 grain bullet to do it. I have a Browning, 2 CZ's, 2 Tikka's . The Browning and one CZ doesn't shoot the...

Re: satern powder funnels
Satern Funnel are cal. specific, are made out of brass and alumium(no static cling). They are a dream. They stand up in the cartiridge case (no spills). They are made very well, I have one for each cal. case I own ( more than ten). Over priced (?), if you ever use one you will be spoiled and own one...

Re: Considering switching from a .220 Swift to the .204
Less (almost no) recoil from .204 vs Swift, both are really good calibers. Variety is the spice of Life!
