Re: Rings loosening up on scope.....
I use clear fingernail polish. It works as good as locktite, and is cheaper. I take a Q-tip, and acetone, and degrease the threads on the screws, and the holes, wait a few minutes, then apply the nail polish, and tighten. Jim

HODGDON'S 2008 reloading manual does not list imr 3031 for ANY bullet weights in 300 win mag caliber.

Re: WTB 22 cal bullets?
another vote for those 55 gr cannelured hornady bullets. I've been using them for years. My 22-250 loves them! I get 3/16 inch 3 shot grps at 100 yds with them. They really put a pd in orbit. I haven't been able to get any better grps with any other bullets, and they are the cheapest. What a deal!

Good shooting! What kind of hoops do you have to jump thru to own guns in the UK,or more specifically, Wales? We are kind of under the impression here in the USA, it's almost impossible to own guns in the UK. Jim

Re: 204 Feeding Problems / Case Marks
I had the same type marks in the Rem xr-100 I bought. I took it back where I bought it, and the gunsmith polished the chamber, and no more problems. It shoots great. It's too bad; this should not be happening. Jim

Re: That DP-68 powder......
I've had excellent results with data 68. I'm not loading hot,as I bought my xr-100, after I came back from my spring pd hunt in 2006. I was taking my son and grandson out for the first time in the summer, which ended up being July 8th,(the earliest they could go due to other commitments),so I knew i...

Some powders meter better than others, also you have to operate the measure the same each time for best results. Jim

Re: Tell us about yourself...
Hi all. I live in rural Prairie Du Sac, Wis. Have wife, 2 sons, 2 grandsons, and 11 yr old black lab. I used this site in May of 2006 to convince myself I needed a .204. Glad you were here! My .222, 22-250, and .17 mach 2 are back ups now, after my pd trip this spring! I bought rem xr-100, and it's ...
