I'm looking to purchase 2-4 used bipods.

223 Loaded with CFE223 29grs and 40 grs of Barnes Varmitator. I pull the third shot. At 100 yds. Total of 5 shot group Using this powder it did not take me more that 30 mins to clean, actually less than that.

Well it has be since 2009 since I did this post and Now I'm in the process of creating my Savage 204. I have aquired 1 308 savage 30" barrel with PTT and 2 223, one with PTT and the other fined tuned trigger. I'm converting the latter to a 204 to carry to Montana this June. Like wine good thing...

This is my first and I'm looking forward to going. I'm wanting to take my 204 to see how she does, what is the affective range for using the 40 gr bullet? Any other input, what to take and how much ammo I need to take? I do not know all the details of Where or how long, just that we plan on leaving ...

Of those that have built a 204 using Savage is there any tips, since all I have are Encores? Barrel, stock, etc.

Had the bore checked today with bore scope. Only 1 spec of copper and the rest of the barrel is copper free.

Warning some loads are over max and do not recommend these loads One more thing this barrel has not been cleaned in over 170 round except a dry patch because of the coating on the bullet.
