Coated bullet shooters: Question :?:
I had to pull a coated bullet from a round today. To my supprise about 99% of coating was gone from the bullet wall; scraped off from the case neck. How do you minimize the scraping off of the coating?

Re: case trimmer
For what I posted, I really do not want to sink that much money into that setup but I'm having issues with getting or finding setups that accommodate the 204. I guess I will have to do some better digging.

Re: Bore sighter suggestions
On my encores, I just break open and look down barrel at target (25 or 50 yds) and compare to where scope is dialed in. I've never purchased a bore sighter to get on paper.

35 Berger
I've been shooting 35 gr Bergers, coated, using 27.4 of H4895 and they are becoming my best friend even though I've stocked up on 40 gr hornady. Today I was able to get a .307" group @ 100 yds. Guess I'll have to load up on the bergers

Max Case Length
In the manuals the "max case length" is 1.85 for the 204, but if I do not have a precision barrel why couldn't the length be longer and how long do you or can you determine the max case length in your barrel will except?

My misunderstanding. He did not say graphite as I stated but an ingredient that may flash into carbon. Sorry my bad.

WS2 Question
I was at the range the other day doing a little 204 shooting. A guy at the range asked me what I had coated my bullets with. After I told him that it was WS2 Tungsten Disulfide, he told me not to use it due that it may contain graphite in it's production and that some people have had problems with t...

Re: 204 heavy bullet problems
I know this is an old topic but I have not been here in a while. and not meaning to hijack. On the subject of clean barrel, I had an Encore 270 win (factory barrel) that would not group at all, 6+ groups at 100 yds. Someone suggested that I let the barrel stay dirty and it may tighten up. Sure enoug...
