Re: 1:10 twist?
I haven't shot any 32 grain bullets through my gun. The heavy bullets have a much better bc and I'll stick to them. My lothar barrel is very smooth and should shoot the 32 grainers with no problems.

Re: 1:10 twist?
I have a lothar walther 10 twist on my savage 204 and it shoots the 40 vmax very well. Your barrel should be perfect for the 39 sierra bullet. I wish most manufactures offered a 10 twist barrel for the 204.

Re: Neck sizing?
Use a lee collet die and there is no need to lube. They work great and are inexpensive.

Re: Walther barrels rule
I know they have shorter throats than my stock savage 204 barrel. I couldn't get to the lands on the savage barrel. I was was just touching the lands on my walther barrel at 2.380" and tried 2.350" for my 40 grain vmax loads. They shot so nice I haven't messed with the seating depth.

Re: Walther barrels rule
They come prechambered and ready to screw on. I ordered mine directly from Lothar Walther and had it in a week. It cost just under $300 delivered to my door.

Re: Walther barrels rule
I've only shot it fifteen times and these barrels are so smooth a break in period isn't needed.

Walther barrels rule
Just put a new Lothar Walther 204 ruger barrel on my savage 110 and couldn't be happier. I went with the 1x10 twist to see if it could shoot the 40 grain Hornadys. I tried them with 26.5 grains of Ramshot TAC and the first three shot group went under a quarter inch. I fired three more groups without...
