Re: North Dakota PD Hunt--Looooong Report with GRAPHIC Pics!!!
Excellant pics and write-up SF!! Sounds like a great time was had. Your cheat sheets look like you have a pile of info on them...care to post a close-up? I used one this season and they made hold-over a thing of the past for me. I only printed the elevation, no windage...I guess I still hold-off but...

Re: .204 Cleaning Patch Size
As RIO said, but I have some "heavier" patches I perfer on the 20 cal. jag that are good-n-tight. The Pro-Shots are the only ones I have found that give me a good fit for 22 & 6mm, others are too heavy. You cou try a 17 cal jag with your current patches and see if they get the job done.

Re: good deal?
That sounds like a good deal on your end, well done. I grabbed one awhile back, haven't shot it, maybe some day she will get to see the light of day. Put a 3x9 Redfield wideview on her, thought it might make a good carry gun. The only MK II I own, never knew how nice they really were til I got it ho...

Baba, that drive-in is a great spot to end your day or start your night! The Diner has great pancakes for breakfast. We shot that area on the 18th, 19th and 20th. The weather was great on those days, before and after, not so much. I hope your next adventure isn't nearly as "interesting" as...

Sounds like a good trade to me!! A hot grill and your favorite seasoning on a couple slices, 1 inch thick, should be a good start!!

Re: Please verify this drop chart for me.
Thanks for the JB site Baba, that was the bomb. I ran all my rifles through it and taped the charts on the side of the stock of each rifle. If I could get a range on the PDs they were toast!!! Tons of one shot kills!! My past favorite rifle got the least use due to the scope on that one not having r...

Re: savage model 111 long range hunter 25-06
I have a 112 in 25-06, good rifle, good caliber, but it uses sooo much powder, that I don't shoot it too much. I shoot a vmax (I think 75 gr. is the only 25 cal. Hornady has in the Vmax line-up)bullet over a pile of Varget powder. Seems to buck the wind a little better than my other options.

Re: Remington VSSF II bad?
I was ready to give-up on my 204 remington until I tried the 39 Blitzkings, they are the only thing my Remington will shoot under a half inch(never did try Bergers). Benchmark powder worked well for me in that combo. Look forward to reading a report on the new rifle.

Re: first dog shoot
It is really hard not to enjoy a dawg shooting trip!!! It is kinda additive. It seems like a cheap trip until you consider all the rifles, optics, components, reloading tools and shooting accessories you seem to just have to have over the course of the time you last went until you next go again!! Wh...

ya, I agree, must be the wet alfafla, the 4000+fps projectile didn't have much influence on the carnage!! Wow, those guys had a bad day. Nice work.
