Re: Colt: A fair deal?
+1 Dave, I'd say you came away on top. Glocks, even ones with some mods are a dime a dozen, but finding a nice Python is truly a very nice find, as there's just not that many nice ones that come available on a regular basis. Congrats on the nice new toy. :D Very nice deal for you. I scored one a cou...

Re: What trigger pull do you guys prefer for your 17HMR?
+1
Mine had a terrible stout trigger pull...T900 or something they called it, I think the number stands for the pounds of pull it took to fire it.Glen wrote:I couldn't be happier with my 2 1/2lb RifleBasix in my Marlin 17HMR.

Re: Summer Shooting with the 204
Not a lot of vermin in my backyard either. Maybe some 13 line ground squirrels if you can find pasture ground, most everything is row crops here(corn & soybeans). 17HMR is plenty for them! I am blessed with excellant pheasant populations usually, not sure about this year after the winter we just...

Re: Improved shooting benches
I have a recessed "t-nut" (not sure what they are called) in the tops. I could make "winged" bolts for the tops...back to no tools! I may build one more or change one of these and try just the 3/4" plywood top and lose the 3/16" steel I have on the under side to add sup...

Re: Improved shooting benches
Well, I finished 3 of these and weighed one before tucking 2 of them away to await our PD shoot in June.....156 pounds!!! I was shocked. Just the stand pipe with the receivers was over 42#s, the top with the outside pipe was 56#s, legs just over 40#s and the seat and support bracket over 18#s. Two w...

Re: 222 rem. loads
My Rem 788 likes 24.5 gr. of H335 with Hornady 50 gr. SXSP bullets. Might be the most accurate rifle I own. What is yours?

Re: 17 Remington Project
The .17 Rem is not a PD bench gun but a excellent coyote slayer. Rick, what is the issue with the 17 Rem & PDs?? It's susceptibility to the wind?? If so, long distance coyotes would be very marginal. I would want good shot placement with a 17 anything on a coyote. On a calm day (if there is suc...

Didn't know that was a offered chambering, that would make nice group with a 204, 223, and 243 for a prairie dog slaying collection. Great find!!!

If he has the ability to make the tool, threading it for the prep station should be the easy part.

If the handle comes off so it can be "motorized" I would be interested.
