Re: Rem 40X for PD shooting? Any opinions on the 40X??
Well, I pulled the trigger on the deal. Taking a 40XBR to a prairie dog town might be like taking a sports car to the grocery store, not the best choice but it will difinitely get you there!! Should be here next week. Can't wait to see what it will do.

Benefit auction for the site - RCBS-Stuck case remover-
OK, Let's try this item... A RCBS stuck case remover, I never stuck a case in a die until the 17 Rem. came along. In my opinion, the smaller the dia. the more likely one might get stuck in your sizing die. Start at $5 and run in an auction format, posting bids here...Bidding ends Monday (5/10) at Mi...

Wow, nice pics, like the group shot and love the first one with the awesome backdrop. That's a great family outing.

Re: A Question of Caliber
I like Rick's 25-06 idea (cause I shoot it!) Great for coyote and deer, I have mine in a Savage 12 BVSS for PDs with 75gr. Vmax and varget. Don't shoot it as much as the others due to the amount of powder and price of bullets, the dawgs are just as dead with 243, 223 or 204. You do notice a little r...

Re: What can anyone tell me about the 225win.
I always thought that would be an unusual cartridge to have, particularly if you don't a have a 22-250. If you don't have prairie dogs or some type of ground squirrels in bulk in your area, it probably rode in the truck more that it was shot. It sounds like an interesting find to me!!

Rem 40X for PD shooting? Any opinions on the 40X??
Have an opportunity at an older 40X Custom Shop rifle(223) single shot. Anyone have experience shooting these and have any advice... do it, don't, buy a Cooper...Would be added to the herd to be a prairie dog shooter, quite a little nicer that the rest of my line-up, closest thing I have to it would...

Re: 300 yd groups
You guys that can acheive these results with factory rifles I would think could get some kind of a sponsorship from the rifle manufacturer. I love seeing the likes of Tom Knapp doing incredible shots and shooting. There likely isn't a huge market, but for grand opening for new stores or making a mar...

Re: 300 yd groups
i have had a few 1" (5 shot) groups at 450 yards .At 300 yards .75" comes fairly often . I'm assuming this is a custom built job, in a vice, with a 30+ power scope???? Are you a competion shooter or should you be one?? .75 wouldn't even be a ragged hole at 100. I just read this thread aga...

Re: Summer Shooting with the 204
I usually like to keep the sandwiches and drink in the cooler but hey, tighter groups, drink it warm!!! Well that would help keep the temp part of the equation in check. I was just reading about the new IMR 8208xbr powder, not senstive to heat, burn rate is shown next to H4895. Has anyone cracked a ...

Re: Summer Shooting with the 204
I guess I intentionally avoided 10x in working up a prairie dog load. It has been over 110 degrees on shoots before, it is in the 60's now when I'm developing a load. I have been led to believe Hodg. Extreme powder lines are not sensitive to temp, makes me they are going to shoot closer to the same ...

You guys are sooooo lethal at 300 yards....I'm not feeling safe at my desk now!!! Wow, great shooting. I need to set-up at 300 to really gain appreciation, but I think those are out of my realm. Dealing on a toy that might get me there though!!
