My .250 AI would group about 1/2" while fire forming (250 Savage brass) - then get to 1/4" or better with my handloads.
I LOVE AI cartridges!

Make sure your stock screws are tightened down to 65 Inch Pounds (NOT Foot Pounds!). I usually free float my barrel, then add a Sims String Leech (for bows) as a pressure pad under the barrel about 2 inches back from the fore end. This 'tunes' the harmonics and seems to stop stock 'slap' that bumps ...

I don't care WHO I shoot against...................just remember - my gun is AS IS Out of the Box except for the trigger. ;) Factory gun/Factory ammo.
