Re: Anyone still shooting a 222?
Soon as I get a chance I'm gonna tweak the loads I tried last month before all the wind & rain showed up.
I'm shooting Dad's old Stevens .222 that he bought new back in the early 60's I believe it was.

Re: Skippy Earns His Wings
  The only launch I've ever had here is with my Marlin 17HMR on a chipmunk perched on an old fence rail. The 17gr V-Max flipped it out of the scope & I only found the upper 1/2. Unless I count the crow at 145yds off a round bale. Made 2 pieces out of 1 crow with that shot &am...

Re: Ready to roll with new CZ
Congratulations on the new CZ Bodei!! Fine looking rig you got there!! My Wife has the 527American in 221 FB & that rifle just plain old shoots too!! I've never heard nor read of CZ accuracy problems. The biggest complaint seems to be the magazine style. It works fine IMHO. My CZ712 is...

Re: Swift Premier Rifle Scope
This is where I usually get my Swift Premiers. However they only have a limited selection. BUT they have FREE shipping!! http://www.eabco.com/Swift01.htm I may be getting my next 4-12X40AO from SWFA for a few dollars more but it's the nickel finish. Unless I can find matte silver. http://swfa.com/ H...

Re: Swift Premier Rifle Scope
HTH I can only attest to the 4-12x40AO Premiers. I have a couple of these & love them. I picked up a used 6-18 about 7-8 years ago & ended up selling it to a young up & coming hunter/shooter for his 1st rifle. Nary a problem I've ever heard back. I am in the market for 1 or maybe 2 more ...

Re: Best Wife Ever! (hint: Cooper)
Nice!! It'll be warming up enough to shoot here in about 45 more days I'm guessing!! Hoping Diane's 221 loads shoot as well with me loading them as they did with my Brother loading for her.
Can't wait to get out & see what the ol 222 is gonna do with the 6 test loads I have.
