Interesting on the barrel taking a while to settle down, I'll pay more attention now but since I started running a graphited (Kroil Graphite or Lock-Eze) patch down the barrel after cleaning my first shot is on or very close. The lube is supposed to make the next clean easier and it does on good bar...

The N133 is scarce and sells out within a few days on a fresh shipment. I missed out at Champion shooters but got my jugs at RW Hart and Sons. I think they may still have one pound cans but shipping/haz fee hurts in small orders. Graf's is close to getting some and MidSouth is a month late on their ...

The best lube I've found is Imperial, it comes in white wax and black powder which is graphite mixed. I use Midway all the time and get great service but no need to wait a month or more for bushings. Most of the benchrest supply places (Sinclair, Hart, Brunos, Russ Haydon) should have them in stock....

N-133 working well in .204R as well as 20BR
I finally was able to purchase a couple 8# jugs of the new N133. We are getting ready for our second South Dakota PD shoot and though the .204R's are my main stay, I've built a couple 20BR's and decided to slow them down a bit for the prairie dog attacks. I found a nice low pressure load at 4035fps ...

Dirty bore.........
Good info already given on the copper fouling which could be causing the problem but my experience puts the problem with a carbon ring just ahead of the chamber. This is much harder to remove then copper and actually "sizes" the bullet down as it passes. A loose bullet doesn't rotate prope...

Madracer, I have two XR-100 in .204 and one in .223, the actions needs to be properly bedded to get consistant groups. This is true with most any stock but I think especially so with wooden stocks. My go to load is 30.1gr of BLC-2 and a 39 grain Sierra BlitzKing but there are other loads that work w...

Have you seen the pics I have posted lately? Nothing wrong with the 40 VMax's in the splat factor. Of note, my rifle keyholes the 39 grain Sierra's....too long of bearing surface for my Savage 12FV. Of another note, the 32 grain Sierra's vaporize about 6 feet from the muzzle when pushed to the 4050...
