Ditto
Like all "gun rag" writers, Brezny isn't likely to bite the hand that feeds him, and he doesn't. Still, the article is extensive, includes some "huntin'" stories and also some material on reloading for the 45gr Hornady bullet. Apparently the article was written before Hornady pub...

The Varmint Hunter Magazine
O Happy Days......just rec'd my July issue of the VH magazine. Looking at the table of contents, I see there are two particular articles of interest: ".204 Ruger and Hornady 45-Grain Spire Point" by L. P. Brezny, and "The .204 Ruger: Is It the Ideal Coyote Calling Cartridge?" by ...

I didn't recollect that they showed the RL10X, and appreciate the feedback. They have loading data for five different bullets......George

RL-10X & 22-250?
Anybody here tried RL-10X with the 22-250? I've been using Varget & VV N-140 for the 22-250, but think I will try working up some loads with the Alliant powder. Thanks for feedback.....George

My understanding....
Meager as it is, is that neck turning is important and/or necessary when dealing with a custom chamber with minimum dimensions....rather than for factory rifles. There are probably a bunch of things we do in handloading that could be dispensed, but I for one enjoy the process and satisfaction of pro...

Primers/Powder
I'm using CCIBR4, since they're currently more available than the Rem 7.5's, which are also excellent. Powders I've tried: RL10X, Benchmark, N140, BLC2 and Varget. I'm going steady right now with the RL10X, and the other "top mention' powder is H4895. Welcome to the forum and good luck..... Geo...

Powders and Primers
I mainly use CCIBR4 primers, since lately they've been more available, though I like the Rem 7.5's also. For powder I'm using RL10X with very good results, though I've experimented lately with BLC2. ApparentlyH4895 and RL10X are the "gold standard" for .204 loads. Welcome to the world of t...

Give up the Expedition?
I think not....that's the only way I'd really save gas $$....but it'll get 15mpg on Thursday...just as it does on Wednesday. This is just a "feel good" exercise......
