Re: opinion on Howa
I' ve got a very fine Weatherby Vanguard, which is the same rifle....mine is in 22-250. A real shooter, and well built. I have installed a Timney trigger and an aftermarket stock.

Montana Extreme v. BMG
I've used Butch's Bore Shine as well as other solvents, and would be interested in other forum members' experience with Montana Extreme versus their BMG product. I generally use MPro7 bore cleaner because it's not too harsh, and my skin reacts badly to the stringent products. I use latex gloves when...

My Rem LVSF
I've had it about six months + and am very happy with it. It just got back from getting the "hydrographic" treatment, and has a Weaver 4X16 scope.

Re: What cleaning equipment do I need?
Congratulations.....you're off the right start with what you have. I expect at some point you'll need bronze brushes. Also, some kind of cleaning cradle or stand. I've got an old MTM job, and it does the job. A really good product is the Kwik-Kradle by Hood Press. It's a cleaning cradle, plus two cl...

Re: K&M Arbor Press Review
Out of character for me  , but this time, like Hawkeye.....I actually read the instructions. They're clear that continued removing of the stem to drop the bullet in will have a negative impact on tolerances. It seems like a bit of a stretch to me, but for the time being it's working out ok hold...

This is Hap, my six year old German Shorthair. He's camera shy, as you can see, but still after my wife and girls, the light of my life!

Re: VV N-133 vs Benchmark
I took my Ruger M77 heavy barrel to the range Saturday morning, with some ladder loads of N133, 35gr Bergers, RP brass and Rem 7 1/2 BR primers. The best group was clearly at 24.9gr (.368), though 24.7 and 25.1 were also up there. I was going to do the postal shoot with 25.1 of RL10X and 39gr Sierra...
