45gr Horndy & Varget
Here are a couple of groups I shot this past Sat with my Ruger 77 Target. It's the first time I've worked with the 45gr bullets, and was pleased with the results. Next I'll load some up to run through my Rem LVSF. The writing didn't come through well: 26.7gr of Varget, R-P brass, Rem 7 1/2 BR primer...

Caldwell BR Competition Rifle Rest & Front Bag
Excellent condition Caldwell BR Competition rifle rest with 3" front bag. I'm selling this since I have the opportunity to acquire a Sinclair at a very favorable price. Midway currently retails this for $170 plus shipping. I'll sell this one for $115 plus $10 UPS to you. George Walker. email me...

Re: .221 Fireball
Re .221 Fireball brass.....no one has any, including Sinclair...just checked. Midway has even removed it from their product listing....whereas it used to be an "out of stock....no backorder" item...glad I've got the form dies to make my 20VT out of .223.

Re: .221 Fireball
Rather than thinking about trading it up for a 22-250, do what I did: had my Rem 700 Classic in .221 rebarrelled with a Shilen 24" barrel to .20 Vartarg.....even better than the .221, esp. with 35 Bergers and 39 Blitzkings......

Re: .221 Fireball
It's an LVSF....I've got one in .204 and it's a great shooter. Check out Hodgdon's site for reload data: http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp. I don't think the .221 brass is available new anyplace currently.....a couple of months ago Remington told me that it was "in stock" and would be ...

Re: Newb needs to know where to start with How-to, equip, etc.
10+ years ago, when I became seriously involved with handloading, I found this video by David Tubb to be very helpful. Books are necessary and helpful, but watching the process in action was a great help to me as well. Good luck... http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=986...

Re: Loads for a Short Barrel ultra light fur.....
I have the rifle in .223 and love it....very accurate and a delight to handle. I did add a Timney trigger, bed the action and float the barrel. I'm sure you're going to do well with your new gun.
