Re: Factory Ruger Trigger
I was told the same thing, but thought....in the worst case, I'd go ahead and put a Timney in it, but it worked out well.

Re: Factory Ruger Trigger
I've got a Ruger VT in .204, and found this site:
http://www.varminthunters.com/tech/rugervt.html
It took me about ten minutes, and now I've still got the two stage trigger, with a nice, crisp 1.5lb pull. There are two screws, and it was easier than doing a Rem 700.

Re: Upgrade to digital scale system
I had an old RCBS, which Katrina swept away, and I've since bought a new model Chargemaster and am very happy with it. I use several powders and reload for a half dozen cartridges, and it works for me. It's easy to change powder, and dispense charges. Occasionally it'll fill the pan a tenth high, bu...

I want to anneal the necks of .20 VT I've made from Lapua and WW .223 brass. Is Todd Kindler's tip the only one like it on the market? It seems pricey......

Re: barrel and stock for ruger m77 mkII
Is this a sporter or heavy barrel? About how many rounds down the pipe thus far? Shooting factory ammo or handloads? If handload, what powder/bullet combinations have you tried? Your scope? Just a few questions....not trying to be nosy, just need more info to help. I love my Ruger 77 Target, by the ...

Re: Kimber Pro Varmint
I bought a Ruger HB target about four years ago, not long after the .204s came out, and I'm extremely pleased with it. I just finished adjusting the trigger, a two stage, with the second pull at a very crisp 1.5 lbs. It has a Burris Signature 6X24 on it, and has about 1500 rounds through it. I'd giv...

Re: sierra 39 bk's .204
I've tried W748 in my 204s but haven't been very successful with it. I've had very good results with RL10X and N133. Other folks also report outstanding results with H4895, as well as the Benchmark.

Re: 17HMR accuracy
Is it a Ruger? What about the trigger? How many rounds do you have through it? They're very susceptible to wind....could that be a factor? Based on my (limited) experience, under 1" is good with a rimfire like the 17HMR. It's just never going to measure up to handloaded centerfire accuracy. YMMV.

Re: 1680 and #7 question,
I use AA1680 in my .20 Vartargs, but I expect that it's definitely too fast for the .204. Perhaps others have had different experiences.....I don't know about #7.

Re: 20 cal Fireball?
As you might guess my from nickname, I'm a 20VT fan, and have two of them, both rebarrelled with Shilen from Rem 700's...one a VSSF and the other a Classic. Rather than just working down from .204, I'll point you to some good load data. In most cases the powders are different, faster. Good ones are ...

A Little OT, but.....
I wish you better luck than I've had with my M21 in .221 FB, which I sent back to Cooper the first of May to be rebarreled to 6X45. Many emails and calls later, I'm still waiting and hoping. Since your problem is a customer service issue, presumably you'll get faster turn-around. The initial promise...
