Powder for AR in .204
I've ordered a DPMS upper in .204 which I'll have next week sometime. While reading an interesting thread on .223 loads for the AR in another category on this forum, I began to wonder whether any of you who are loading the .204 for an AR platform have opinions on powder preferences. I expect I can c...

For Sale: 22-250 Weatherby Vanguard Stainless--SOLD
FYI, I'm selling a Weatherby Vanguard Stainless in 22-250 on Gunbroker.com. The auction # is 88752475. It's got a Weatherby upgraded camo synthetic stock, a Timney trigger, base and rings. I'm also including a Sinclair Delrin bore guide. I thought maybe a member or friend of a member might be intere...

New DPMS .204 Upper
I bit the bullet and ordered a .204 Ruger DPMS upper with a 24" SS fluted barrel for my Bushmaster lower. I"ll probably put another trigger in it, but right now I could use some help on mounting a scope. I've not done this before. Do I need a riser? What kind of riser, or mount do I need? ...

Re: Ruger M77 Hawkeye
Your friend had a bum experience with Ruger....but based on my experience that's the exception rather than the rule, by a long shot. I've got three great Rugers: a MK77 Target GRay in .204, an Ultralight MK77 in .223 and a #1 in 22-250. I'd say give'm a look. YMMV.

Re: Vmax ok for coyotes?
Based on anecdotal, rather than personal, experience I'd suggest you try Hornady's 45gr spire point round. I've gotten excellent accuracy from my handloads of their 45gr bullet, and expect the factory ammo will shoot well.

Re: Loads for the XR-100
Welcome to the forum! I"m shooting a Remington LVSF and a Ruger Target Gray, but based on my experience, limited though it may be, I'll make a suggestion: 25.1gr of RL10X under the 39gr Sierra has been one of my best loads. Also, 26.6gr of Benchmark with the 35gr Bergers. I'd urge you to give t...

Re: New to the forum
Welcome to the forum!!! Sounds like you're on the right track. For foxes and coyotes, a heavy varmint is going to be a lot to lug around. The Ruger idea is good, but also check out the Savage 16FSS, which lists for $612 and has the Accutrigger. Good luck.

Re: .204 Ruger from .222 Rem Mag?
Thanks for the responses. I've also noticed that 222 Mag brass has dried up....neither Sinclair, Midway or LockStock&Barrel are listing it......

.204 Ruger from .222 Rem Mag?
Does anyone out there make their .204 Ruger brass from Lapua .222 Rem Mag? If so, what do you do? What are the difficulties? What are any pros or cons? Many thanks, George
