Here's my new AR in .204 Ruger..... Shilen 20" 1 in 9 twist barrel & matching bolt, Double Star upper receiver, Yankee Hill smooth/quad rail free float hand guard, Magpul CTR buttstock. The scope is a Bushnell Elite 6500, 4-30 for load development work....will probably replace it with a 4-1...

My recollection, based on what I'm not sure , was that the Cooper test targets were shot at 60 yards....

FWIW: I have four very nice 1911's......2 Springfields and 2 Kimbers.....
But I carry a Glock 27 .40 S&W......decent level of "power" (in a handgun), 10 rounds and convenient size.
