Re: Rick in Oregon
Get well, take care, heal up right so you can go out next summer to stretch the "Princess's" legs. She'll be ready for heck of a walk by then. Our prayers are with you fellow Oregonian.

Re: no exit wounds
WoW!!! I shoot rockchucks in the 8-10 pound range. (never weighed one, just a guess) And the carnage is absolutely amazing!!! With 34gr. Dogtowns, and 39gr. SBK's. Have yet to shoot a blackbird though .:chin: I have had a few complete passthroughs on coyotes with the SBK's in the 50-180yrd range. If...

Re: New Member
Welcome to the forum neighbor. I also own a howa .204, mines a sporter barrel with the nutmeg laminated thumbhole stock. Almost too pretty to take out to hunt, but the wife picked it out for me. :D It took a bit to figure out what it liked and at times was VERY frusterating. :wall: Mine finally sett...

Re: PLEASE HELP
Welcome aboard Happy. I shoot rockchucks with the 34gr. Dogtown bullets. My Howa 1500 .204 really likes em'. at 300yrds. they REALLY mess up a chucks day. For coyotes I go to a 39gr. Blitzking, My gun shoots both at about .5" (if I do my part of course!) Give em' a try and see, they're cheap an...

Re: Hey guys I am new here.
Welcome to the forum bushymonster! I shoot the H335 at 27.5gr. in my Howa 1500. It's not a max load & can't recall the max load at the time. It's what shoots VERY good in my gun with the 34gr. dogtown bullets for chucks, & the good ol' 39gr. blitzking for coyotes. Not sure what velocity is, ...

Re: opinion on Howa
Welcome to the forum Fredbeer. I also have a mdl. 1500 Howa .204, after a bit of work it is a shooter. I bought the sporter weight barrel with the laminated thumbhole stock. I had to float the barrel (get rid of a little extra wood in the barrel channel), glass bed the action, & tussle with a fe...
