Anybody using Vihtavouri?
I've had such good luck with Re10x that it's tough to justify a change, but I have a good supply of N133, 135, and 140. From what I gather the 133 is most likely match to the 204. Has anybody tried this against 10x?

Re: Second Heavy Varmint rifle 22-250 or 6.5mm
I'm going to shelf the project for a bit and focus on the 204 and 22-250 for the moment. getting to close to shooting season plus I don't have my gun rom finished so it wil be harder to blend in any new acquisitions. I'll pick up some light bulets and take my Sako 260 along for some low volume shoot...

Re: Checking loads 3 vs. 5 shot groups .204's ONLY
In my mind's eye a 3 shot group is simpler for "coarse" work and once narrowed down a 5 shot group is to confirm/refine the load.
Using 3 shot groups initially should expedite the process and save barrel wear not to mention the time/cost savings.

Pig Bomb
So how true is this documentary?
From the sounds of it there is a need to bring more hunters in to help. I'd be curious to hear from someone in an affected (infected/infested) area.

Nice to see we are in agreement on the shoot versus hunt.

Don't tell him I'm thinking about a 3rd (actually 4th) Sako in 243AI.
Then again if you'd answer my question about your Sako compared to your Cooper I might shift my focus...![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Re: Second Heavy Varmint rifle 22-250 or 6.5mm
Scratching my head over 6.5mm bullet selections for varmints I have to ask myself why I ended up thinking the 6.5mm for varmints? Looks like I should be doing something like a 6mm Rem AI. And of course I'll keep the 22-250 set up as is. Just not enough time any more to mess with it. I have 40, 50, a...

I second the motorized part. Would need to fit my RCBS prep station.

In order not to have to re-read the thread, do I take it you've found that the SBK's are working well?

Re: harvested hogs and deer with superb results. 204 ruger
BCB: Gotta go....need to grab my Beeman R10; there's a T-Rex in the garden again..... ;) My weapon of choice was the Peter and the Wolf cork gun for hogs around here until there was a scare of pseudo-rabies just down the road. Rather than risk pissing one with a less than perfect shot I started to ...

Re: Ear plugs
I think it was around $1800 for the middle series. I had my hearing tested and while OK there was room for improvement so I opted for the programmable units. Rocky Raab over at 24hr Campfire is a great resource. He's retired, but used to sell these so he's only semi biased if at all now. They are to...

Re: Ear plugs
My choice will surely break the bank, but for me it was the perfect solution. I went with custom fit digital in ear units: http://www.earinc.com/p1-electronic-hunting.php I can use these in the shop (write off) as well as at racing events, etc. It is nice to be able to hear the crickets, birds, squi...

Rick,
Have you tried the 133 or any other Viht in your 204's yet? Still a 10x user?

Re: PD Hunters
I prefer the word shoot versus hunt when it comes to rodent towns that you can sit down and blast away on. To me the hunt is over once you arrive and set up. Practice on paper and learn to reload. You'll soon find out that while it is a blast, shooting hundreds of rounds per day can become fatiguing...
