The small size of the scorpion is quite attractive as I have enough bulky junk in the cab of my truck already. I believe the drawbacks are lesser volume and no display/function w/o remote?
How does one obtain sounds not pre programmed?

Re: Burris/Nikon Advice!
I like the fast focus eyepiece, and locking side focus knob on the Monarch. The clarity s also quite amazing. My Monarch is 4-16x and my Leupie is 4.5-14x. I can see the holes in the paper quite clearly at 100 yds with the Nikon. Not so much with the Leupie. I want a Zeiss or Swaro eventually, but f...

Re: I need a new scope for a new rifle.
I went with a Nikon Monarch 4-16x42 and so far it seems like a very nice scope for the price of $399.

Electronic calls
Looking at the Foxpro FX5 or similar. New to calling, want versatility, and quality. Primarily coyote calling, but you never know. Any advice?

I have a 54' or so long "tunnel" under the covered porch. Same thing here, concrete 4 sides with a double 3'0 door at the walkout. She didn't like the pistol range idea...

Gun Vault-Bomb Shelter
We are in the process of building our new house. I have a 8'x16' room (nets 82" by 15' inside) in the basement that is all concrete. It has ICF walls, stryo under the floor, and poured ceiling and is under our 4 seasons porch. Ceiling is 6" thick with 1/2" rebar 12" OC. Ceiling h...

Re: Definition of Willpower :)
I don't have that many (yet) but recently acquired my Dad's Buffalo Scout and Win 94. When I said I needed to run to the gun shop for a new rifle that I had orderd, she didn't grumble too much. Just asked what this one was for. I said plinking. She said don't you already have guns for that? I said y...

Re: New Remington 204 for me
I'm tempted to take on the bedding myself, bit I have a semi local Gunsmith (Randy Gregory http://www.accuracyunlimited.com ) with some pretty good credentials that I think I'll have do it to make sure that it's done right. Then I'll set up my BR pivot Lite and do some real testing. I have to say th...

Re: New Remington 204 for me
Probably should have left it alone like you said. It definitely made a difference. I need to get to shoot it from a rest. I'll have a trigger and bedding job done and see what goes from there...

New Remington 204 for me
Took my new Rem LV SF to te cabin Saturday. It's topped with a Nikon Monarch 4-16x42 on Leupold low mounts. Sucked it down so low that teh bolt just touches the rubber ring on the fast focus ring. I started with the gun out of the box stock, just a quick cleaning and the bore sighting from the deale...

Re: Can I get away with this?
Thanks guys. If anything, I'll stick to the 32's for now and see how they go. Just looking to take the easy way out and get on paper, and maybe kill some squirrels today. I have a lot of hand loads but I also have some factory stuff that I could try. The gun will get dropped off for bedding, floatin...

Re: Can I get away with this?
I have 32 BK at 26.1gr Re 10x and 39 at 26.0gr. I'll have to check the powder old bottles, but I do recall it being quite old.

Can I get away with this?
The ammo that I worked up for my Sako is 2.065" to ogive. I measured my new LVSF at 2.075" so I have a .010" jump.
26gr Re-10x and Sierra BK with no signs of psi issues.
Can I try these loads in the new Rem w/o serious risk?
