Re: Hornady brass for the .204 - better than Rem or WW?
I'm curious how you guys are getting the Hornady primer pockets uniformed? Every time I try it my tool bites in and binds so hard that I usually wreck the brass using a plier to spin it back off...

Re: 700 trigger adjustment
ops: I'm a real gun tinkerer, and have adjusted or worked on about every brand of trigger out there. That said, the one thing I rarely, if ever dink with, is the sear engagement screw set by the factory. It is usually set and sealed for a reason, but if you must adjust it, use a Q-Tip soaked in lac...

Re: Case neck splitting
My experience with the WW .204 brass mirrors Skipper's, and I too anneal it right out of the bag. I've been switching over to Hornady brass for the .204, and don't see the splitting as prevelant with them. The switch wasn't entirely made because of the splitting, I just get very low ES with the Hor...

Trail Camera
Looking at trying out a trail camera. Something versatile and quality. Use would be on our private land so theft should not be an issue. I'm willing to spend several hundred dollars if the quality is there. Any suggestions?
I've just started looking. The Camtrakkers are interesting.

Re: Burris/Nikon Advice!
I should add that while shooting with my B-I-L a while back I couldn't see well thru his scope. He commented the same so I adjusted it. He wasn't aware of this ability. The scope was an old B&L? tube with windage and elevation adjustments being made to the base. Pull hard rearward and you can li...

Re: Burris/Nikon Advice!
Thanks for the tip. Mine was focused fine. For the record, my eyes like to have it screwed all the way in. The Nikon fast focus is quite nice in this regard. I can move it rapidly in and out to verify.

Re: Electronic calls
The word is that gamecalls.net does not stock product regardless of what they say. I cancelled and ordered from allpredatorcalls.com who had it in stock. The order was placed at or around closing time Thursday. Friday am I received a call from APC looking for my sound selection. The gentleman who ca...

Re: Electronic calls
I ordered the Scorpion in Mossy Oak to match my Ranger (like that matters) first from gamecalls.net (unresponsive and apparently non stocking and then cancelled and ordered from APC.

Reloader 10x lot BS
I see talk about some 2003 lots of the 10x being slow, dirty, etc. What is the word on this? I have used lots from 2004 and 2003. My latest purchase was a 5# jug from Aug 11 '03 Lot 35015. This matches. Here's what I have to date: 1ea 1# Jun 26 '03 Lot 25118 Gone 3ea 3# Apr 22 '04 Lot 35015 Gone 1ea...

Re: Electronic calls
Our Gander doesn't stock the 5 or the Scorpion so I had to order online. Pretty sad, if there was a local place that stocked or could get quickly, I'd be all over it. My go to shop is 45 miles the opposite direction of the way that I go to shoot etc...

Re: Electronic calls
I was hoping to walk into Gander mtn and walk out with the Scorpion, drop in batteries and play. No shipping and a $20 discount coupon for any $100 purchase. Not sure if they stock it or not. I like the idea of the sound library being open for Minaska. I'd give a little extra to Foxpro for unlimited...

Re: Electronic calls
So if I understand correctly, there is no need to be particular about what is loaded when purchased as about anything can be found and loaded once in hand?
