Back from the farm
Hi Guys, sorry I was unable to get any photographs only spent a little over a hour shooting as we had to get bales hauled. My nephew the night before I got there was practising his calf roping and just before dark a coyote appears in the small pasture right next to the roping arena. This coyote had ...

Shoooting supplies
Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone in the Minot area could advise me if there are small rifle primers available at Scheels. I would really like to get some cci brs or some 205ms. Also some lead 2 3/4" 12 guage in 1 1/2 ounce 6s or 71/2 for the up coming pheasant season. I will be there next wee...

A little trip to my brother in laws place.
Hi Guys, I am leaving to my brother in law's place about 2 hours south of where I live. I will be there for 4 or 5 days and I am taking my 204 and camera. Second time out this summer can't believe that I am retired because I still have no time. They have a ranch 1/2 way between Manor & Oxbow if ...

Re: Have you noticed this too?
Hi Guys, I retired in March of this year after a 34 year career as an insurance adjuster and I am now a Pastoral Intern at our church. Now that I look back on it I do not know how I went to work as I am to busy being retired. I sure hope that I can make time for this fall as it just about Hunting ti...

Re: Tell us about yourself...
Hi Skipper, I agree with you 100% if I could only go with a magnum rifle. If you reload I have a load using the speers 235 gr that has stopped everything from Antelope to Black Bear and it is just a shade under 3,000fps. Here in Saskatchewan we have large moose & elk and it does the trick on the...

Re: Tell us about yourself...
Hi Guys, my name is Dan and I am blessed with a beautiful wife and 3 married children and 1 grand daughter. Our pastor advised us that grand children are God's reward for not killing our teenage children and it may be a lot truer than we would like to admit. I have recently retired as a Senior adjus...

Re: Trying to decide on what .204 is the best
Hi Bud, I would have to agree that your next rifle will always be your best one. I was never a Savage man but I took a chance and bought a model 12 FLV and I have been very happy with it. I bought a B & L 4000 Elite 6X20X40 used and it has been great as well. The only knock against the rifle is ...

Cleaning copper out of bore?
Hi Guys, I am wondering if any of the readers have used a product called Wipeout supposedly it is a great foam bore cleaner and once used you will never use anything else. I have not put a lot of rounds through the 204 yet but in a couple of weeks I hope to put a serious dent in the gopher populatio...

Reloading
I just got back from Calgary and I could get bullets and brass however primers and powders are slim pickens.
I have attempted to obtain primers and such from calbelos but they can not ship to Canada on primers and powders.

39 gr. SBKs, just a statement.
On Friday I went to our local dealer to pick up some bullets and was advised that they are out again.
It is going to take another week to 10 days to get in more, I do not know about the rest of you but it sure seems that 39 gr. Sbks have grown in popularity???

Sighting in Savage 204 in 12 FLV
I went out yesterday first day to see if I could hit paper as I just received my RCBS dies. I used Hornady 45 gr factory to hit paper @ 25 yards got 2 bullets to touch and then tried 2- 39 gr blitzkings with 26 grs of H4895 and did the same thing. I then attempted the same thing out a 100 yards and ...
