Get some Bore Tech C4 Carbon Remover and follow the instructions (you'll need some nylon bore brushes). This stuff removes powder fouling better than anything I have used in a long time. Yes, I tried it on my rifle and the groups opened up so I went back to having some pressure up front.

Mine loves 160gr Sierra BT's. Tried lighter weights and the groups just get larger.

I have the Savage 16. After sending it back to the factory for a keyholing issue (they put a new barrel on it) it shoots just OK. Wish I bought the CZ or a Cooper.

Thanks Rick, I think I am really leaning towards the Nikon Monarch 4-16X42. I really like everything Nikon has done with it. I Think that Leupold is just selling their warranty to be honest. I have heard from several others that the Monarchs are neck and neck with the VX-III's and they are about 10...
