Re: Burris Signature Rings?
I like the Double Dovetails (Leupold call the Dual Dovetail). Even though recoil not an issue with 204 as others have said - no windage screw to work loose ever. They also look neat and clean - if that matters to you.

Re: In need of a .204
I have Howas and Remington 700s.
I've been very harry with my Howa's - in my experience the triggers have been better than the Remington's.
My .204 is a Howa and it is very accurate.
Exceptional value for money.

Re: elite 6500
Hi Jim
Had it at the range for the first time on the weekend
At 16x it did lose a little in sharpness - but I could still pick up .204 holes - so it was certainly very usable at 16x

I have a Boyds Varmint Thumbhole (on a HB Howa 308)- very happy with it.
Really was a drop-in part.

Re: Prairie Poodling pics (frame by frame) *Very Graphic*
thanks - these are fantastic shots
I've also got a D300 and so need to get out and get some pics of some bunny busting action
I've got a Sigma 50-500 lens with a 1.4x 'doubler' that should do the job nicely

+1
Another happy Optic Zone Aussie customer here - I've bought about 4 scopes and some other bits from them - Jon and Tammi are great to deal with - their service is very good and their prices are generally excellent.

Re: Bushnell trophy 4X12 recticle?
I have a number of Bushnell scopes (mostly 3200s) including 2 x Trophys - a 6-18x and a 3-9x I assume the reticle is similar on all the Trophy models Here are some shots I just took through the 6-18x Distance is exactly 30 metres (lasered) - the limit of my urban backyard! The 'target' orange dot is...

Burris packages - which bipod?
Hi All,
Looking at a Burris Fullfield II for a 22LR (CZ452).
They currently are offering a 'free' bipod
http://www.burrisoptics.com/packages.html
Has anyone seen if these bipods are genuine Harris - or some copy?
Thanks in advance.
Mark

Re: elite 6500
I have just put a 6500 2.5-16x 50 on my 223 - seems pretty good - can see .204 and 223 holes in targets at 100 yards.
Clarity is good - havn't tried it in ow light yet where the 50mm obj and 30mm tube should perform well.
Certainly well made - optically seems a notch better than my 3200's.

Re: 2 for 1 deal
thanks guys - we had a reasonable day out last Saturday - shot 18 in a few hours
not too many dingoes in the areas I shoot - looks like they are about to be protected in my state

Plenty of foxes around - they are good fun to call in!

2 for 1 deal
Havn't been shooting (or on the forum) enough for quite a while. Finally broke the drought last night and took my son out and had a great afternoon hitting the rabbits. My boy took these two bunnies down at about 130 yards with one shot from the 204 - he was very pleased with his first 2 for 1 deal....
