Re: Here's a scary thought

I agree that this subject matter should have it's own area so as to not pollute the forum that I visit to discuss the 204 ruger. If you want my views on the subject I will quote a message that I sent as a private message to another member. I handled it that way so as to avoid arguing with you guys a...

Re: The Plan

This is about the 204 Ruger right? Why do you want to make the members of this forum who vote democratic uncomfortable? Have we run out of things to talk about related to the 204? I used to take part in a forum that discussed the Toyota Prius. There were lots of liberal democrats over there but I do...

Re: My Friends

The story about Senator Obama is false. A quick search on snopes once again debunked an urban legend that has been repeatedly spread by e-mail as fact. It is interesting that the lies continue by stating that it has been verified by snopes. I guess they are counting on laziness to keep us from check...

Re: How to fine tune a load?

I'm not sure how to help you with your rest setup over the internet. I would recommend you go to a match in your area and find someone there that is willing to help you. That is much easier than you might guess. There are several things to look for. When you get a proper setup, you should find that ...

Re: How to fine tune a load?

Hey there Love2shoot- Can you post pics of some groups. Let us see your last 5 at least. Don't pick and choose. What was the wind condition and level of mirage. Do the groups exhibit vertical or horizontal pattern? Are you shooting 3,5, or 10 shot groups? You will want a comparator gauge from stoney...

Re: Off Topic

I listen to NPR everyday and have never heard a bias against guns in their reporting. If I did I would write to complain. I don't find them left leaning but rather open and revealing in most cases, generally bringing to light the bs in government regardless of who is in office. They used to give cli...

Re: Finally got my Baer

Hey Mike- Is that a left twist barrel. You seem to have a pattern that goes up and to the right instead of up and to the left. Several of your groups look like a weather report. Were you shooting with flags? In that nasty weather I would not bother to put out flags but there is a lot of horizontal i...

New reamer design for the 204

Back when I first got my Pacnor barrel for my 204, I worried that the throat was so short that I was loading 40 grain bergers and the base of the bullet was all the way down into the body of the case when jammed into the lands. I tried it anyway and was eventually pleased with it's performance. I de...

Re: Redding Comp. Dies

I noticed a huge difference in runout between the RCBS and the Redding comp dies. I improved so many different things back then that I can't attribute the improvement to any one thing. The Runout went from .003-.006 with the RCBS to .001-.002 with the Redding.

Re: Leica rangefinders

I really like my 1200 lrf. I got a great deal on it from http://www.cameralandny.com. The crf would be easier to use but I had to draw the line on cost somewhere.
