Re: Problems with BRAND NEW KIMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rick, I agree, a costly, but very fine piece!!! The zip tied tags on the trigger guard hadn't even been taken off yet. I took it apart and didn't see anything in there. I lubed it all back up again. Used the allen wrench to get it to "fall" back into place. Then working the mag, it would c...

Problems with BRAND NEW KIMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My father in law just got a new Custom Crimson Carry, and the mag release button is stuck in. It has some wiggle, but it wont return back to original position to grab the magazine catch on the mag. So you don't hear the "click" and the mag wont stay in the mag well. The mag just drops back...

Re: Savage LRPV 204 ?
Mine will shoot 1/2" groups with the 32 V-maxes as well as the 39gr BK's. I got it down to .3" groups with the 40 gr Vmax. But each rifle likes its own bullet, so you will have to figure out which one to feed it. Although, many guys have NO PROBLEMS making the 39gr Blitz shoot! I didn't ei...

Re: Savage LRPV 204 ?
I think that they first came out in '06, and those had a few kinks in the trigger in them. They fixed them and put in a target trigger for 07. I love mine. It is deadly. With a little load development i got it down to a .3" five shot group. And I hope to improve that this spring. I had an issue...

Re: My new toy.
All I can say is  !!!!!!!!!!!! Very nice. Let us see pics of the groups when you get her firing. Makes me miss my Cooper I had to sell!!! I had to wait to buy it, and then had to sell it due to unexpected circumstances before I even got to shoot it. Thanks for posting yours. I love the wood. Ve...

Re: Prefered Scope finish?
Jim, I think it is which finish you actually like. I, like you, prefer a matte finish. But I don't own any blued rifles, if I did, I would probably buy a gloss finish scope to "match" it. But, I guess I didn't take my own advice on that one b/c on my LRPV that has a stainless action and ba...

WTS: Red Head Upland Hunting Pants
Hey guys. I am cleaning out my hunting stuff I don't ever use, or in this case, never used!!! They are brand new, just look at the pics, no marks on the bottom of the legs at all. They have 4 big pockets and front and back leg liners that resist burrs. They are size 36x32 and have been folded in the...

If you are a betting man, here is an option........:
Steelers win-------> Buy the Savage

Oh, and I am a huge Steelers fan.......so this was my way of getting to cheer for em. GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!

Re: CZ or savage
I love the CZ's set trigger!!!!, but the out of box accuracy is what sold me on the Savage! I love it. I can shoot 1/2" groups all day. I think the accutrigger feels pretty good also. But no matter what anyone tells you they like, you need to compare them side by side and choose which one YOU l...

Re: 40 grain Nosler BT's in a Savage LRPV - headaches
MY LRPV HATED!!!!!! the 40gr Noslers..... but I shot a .278" five shot group w/ the 40 gr V-maxes!! It will shoot 32 Vmaxes, 32 SBK's, 39 SBK's, 40 Vmaxes all under 1/2 inch---and it even shoots the Midsouth cheapies well. So yours just must not like the Noslers like mine. I would trade em for ...
