Re: Mystery ?
I started a thred awhile back called ".204 bullet failure" if anyone wants to look at it. I had the same experience with my .204 with factory hornady vmax loads but from much closer range. I shot a rabbit, from approx 100meters, with i THINK it was 32gr vmax, (although it also could have b...

Re: what should i get for a gun
iv got a howa 1500 standard barrel in .204 It is extremly accurate. It wears a hogue full-bed aluminum stock and a leupold 6-18 scope. I dont reload and it shoots both the 32gr and 40gr hornady loads better then i can shoot them. (i have only ever shot it off a bipod) and am able to shoot well under...

Re: Cleaning problem
you need a .20 cal cleaning kit. a .22 kit will not work. they are different.
.204 = 20 cal. not .22 good luck =)

Re: opinion on Howa
Hello there, i have a Howa M1500, standard barrel in.204 that now wears a Hogue Full-Bed Aliminium Block Stock, and a Leupold 6-18 scope. It is a very accurate rifle and the trigger aint bad either (i adjusted it myself) I used to have the Hogue Pillar Bedded stock on it but switched it, as through ...

ahhaa yea ur right, only problem is i dont want to eat them. =p perhaps next time i will be able to convince my mate how cool the .204 is with a spectacular gory kill. Although to the credit of the .204, one of my other mates who shoots a .308 was so impressed by the accuracy and excessive gore caus...

.204 bullet failure.
Hello everyone, hope all is well. I shoot quite alot of rabbits with my howa .204 and always get very destructive results. I decided to take one of my friends along with me on a rabbit hunt so i could show him what the .204 and its tiny bullet was capable of. I saw a rabbit about 150 meters away, li...

darn thats harsh, its funny you know, over here you are allowed silencers and any barrel length you want as long as the overall firearms length is over a certian length -- althhough you are not allowed pistol grips or folding stocks - go fiqure? not that .204 would generally have any of those traits...

you say you have a howa atm and are very happy with it, why not get a SS howa with standard barrel and hogue stock? Pretty cheap, not the lightest rifle in town but id be pretty confident it would shoot straight and it wont break the bank.. iv got one myself, and it is very accurate...(just got the ...

when i got my howa 1500 the trigger had no creep although it was obviously heavy. It was just a case of simply loosening a screw to reduce the pull weight and that was it. After that the trigger has been completly satisfactory. I suppose it would pay to test the trigger of the rifle your looking at ...

It shoots great, couldent ask for more! I only ever shoot it off a bipod and can shoot about .75 moa with any facto...
