Thanks for the heads-up... I just bought some reloading dies & supplies, just for this reason. Of course, this thing with OSHA could really put a damper (understatement) on reloading, but I'm hedging my bets that it won't fly. I did my part, contacting my congressman & representatives...hope...

I have 2 Savage 93R17's...one is the FVSS model, and the other a BTV (with Accu-Trigger). The FVSS is the workhorse of the two. I've had it for a little over 2 years, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. For a moderate priced 17HMR, it pulls it's weight 'round here. I've had no problems with it, to...

I have a Leupold 4.5-14X scope and a Nikon Monarch 6.5-20X scope, both with illumniated reticles. The Nikon's system seems to employ a small LED light that shines on the crosshair. This creates a major glare around the edges of the scope tube which is annoying. I have the same Nikon you're referrin...

This new Vista program is for the birds, it's learning curve is like trying to flap your arms and fly like a bird. My brother bought a new laptop about a month ago, and the first thing he did when he got home with it was, call me and say, "Help..." Like you, I told him I was just now gett...

LowPro,, go savage all the way. What ever you decide to get you will enjoy shooting this little 20cal. This is the most fun rifle I have ever shot in my life. The 17hmr runs a close 2nd. I met you half-way...sorta. While I was at my dealers picking up the CZ 527 Varmint, he just HAD to show me a Sa...

I've been so busy 'round here for the past week, I still haven't had a chance to mount the scope. I received the rings last Thursday, but I was too busy preparing for an out-of-town pheasant hunt this past weekend, to get them installed. I had to leave on Friday morning, and I didn't want to rush th...

She's home!

I was so exhausted from last weekend, I didn't make it to the gunshop on Monday. I did call Monday afternoon though, to see if it was in...it wasn't. So I decided to wait until today. I was high on anticipation today, when I called this morning. Yep ~ it's in! I couldn't get there fast enough. Just ...

Your rifle may be different, but the odds are against it. :D I understand, completely. I'm just so wound-up right now, I want to shoot it as soon as I bring it home. I think I'll do just as you said...buy a box of each, and go from there. I'm not going to be able to sleep, tonight...or the next nig...

For your circumstances, Rick (LowPro), I'd say get the CZ Varmint, like the other Glen (One En) suggested. They aren't terribly pricey, set triggers are superb, and the rifle's not too heavy, either, only about 1 pound heavier than the sporter. I ordered the CZ 527 Varmint Kevlar .204 today! :banan...

I've always thought that there should be a Statue of Responsibility, right next to the Statue of Liberty. Yes, we ALL have the right of Free Speech, but there's a responsibility that goes along with it (along with the rest of our rights). Zumbo has the right to say whatever he pleases, but he totall...
