Re: How many rounds?
I load 6 of each. 2 3 shot groups to see if the rifle can do it again. then I go to 5 each for groups. It may be a waste of poowder and primers but it works for me.

Re: 130grs barnes bullet and 06
I think Barnes recomends .030 to.070 off the lands. For my rifles it's been .030 to .040 off to get the best accuracy. Good lick with them when they shoot right they are heck on game. I helped recover a .25-06 115 gr TSX out of a mature mule deer buck. It penetrated the entire lenghth of the deer an...

Bullet Weight: 130 gr Case Trim Length: 2.484" S.D. 0.196 Bullet Style: TSX BT Primer: Federal 210 B.C. 0.340 *The 130-grain TSX has a very short shank; we recommend lightly crimping the case mouth with a factory crimp-style die to increase neck tension. *Powder charges of less than 100 percent...

Re: Barnes Varmint Grenade In the 22-250
I tried BL-C and it shoots under .5 inch 5 shot groups. My load is quite mild and right out of Barnes #4. 38 grains BL-C with a CCI 200 primer. It's running right at 4200 fps and shoots like a dream.

Re: bell and carlson stock question model 12 FV 204 Ruger
I put a grey with black web on my Savage 12FV and it definately was NOT a drop in. There was over 3/8" gap under the front of the barrel.

Weatherby has the WORST factory triggers. Buy a Timney and enjoy shooting.

Re: Barnes 26gr Varmint Grenade
Well I went to the range today to try some 26 grain Varmint Grenades. I started out at 26.2 grs. of Benchmark and went up to 28 in 0.2 gr incriments. The best 5 shot group I got was 0.75 with 26.8 grs at 4220 fps. OAL was 2.295. I'd add a photo but don't know how. I guess that will work for squirell...

I'm in the same boat. No replies from the moderators either. Kinda frustrating.

Re: B&C stocks
I just put a Duramaxx stock on my Savage. Definately not a drop in. We had to do quite a bit of inletting then glassed the lug area. Price wasn't bad but definately not "drop in" on my Savage.

Re: Looking for a single shot.....in .25-06
T/C triggers really suck. But at http://www.bellmtcs.com/store/index.php you can get spring kits to lighten up the pull and such. I did it to my 7mm-08 Encore and it made a world of difference. Good luck with your quarter bore single shot.
