Well, I had my first zero free-bore done, it's a .223 AI with a .250 neck, match chamber, Rock barrel. It's a Savage single shot action in a VLP stock. I wouldn't change a thing, shoots good!

Re: Remington 700 Aftermarket Trigger?
Guess I'm gonna be the one lone voice out here saying, "Rifle Basix LV-1". I've bought two now from Shooters Discount, Inc., $107 shipped. I have installed them in my two Rem XR-100's, both break at 8oz and are very nice! Think they go up to a 24oz pull if you don't like the light 8oz pull...

CCI-41 Primers
Bought a brick to try in the .204's and my .20 Tac's. First rifle I tried them in. a Ruger #1 in .204, I had 8 rds out of 30 that wouldn't fire no matter how many times I dropped the hammer and of those that fired a couple of them took several whacks before they fired. Either the primers are no good...

Re: Cratered Primers with new model 12 LPV
First thing I did when I bought my .204 LRPV was to send the bolt assembly to Gre-Tan rifles and get the firing pin bushed.

Re: I Think Nosler #6 stinks!
3700 is slow for a .204. Why would you not use the cartridge to it's full potential? What kind of velocities are you getting with the 40 grain bullets? Of all the loads posted in the "Favorite Loads" thread the fastest is 3900 FPS with the 40 V-Max and 3650 FPS for the berger. If you have...

Re: I Think Nosler #6 stinks!
Looking over the "Favorite Load" data 3700 don't look all that slow for a 40 grain pill. Favorite 40 Berger loads clocked from 3104 --> 3650 And the 40 V-Max ranged from 3700 --> 3900 I see that the Nosler Web load data lists 3648 as the fastest load for the 40... 3700 is slow for a .204....
