Rick,
Do you tell the landowners about the policy during your asking permission or do you tell them as a "by the way" if they are wishy washy?

$1,000,000.00 insurence policy for gun owners?
I was watching Glen Beck today and gun control came up. Someone in Ill. is proposing making gun owners have a million $ policy to be able to own guns. If you can't afford one, and you keep your guns then that is a felony. How come liberals punish people who play by the rules, and reward criminals an...

Loin cloth yes, flint knife no. I just stalk the animal then pounce. I'm like a puma, just bite them in the throat and hang on.

Huntsman that is very clever. I wish I had thought of that. But I'm not above stealing a good idea.

Dakota Arms?
I was looking on the net at some of the firearms web sights. I went to the Dakota arms sight and had a look around. I don't think I've ever read of anyone here having a Dakota 204. The prices were higher than Coopers. Are any better? I've seen them before, just not a lot of talk about them.

Re: ammo and reloading components bubble?
I'm glad I live in an area where the 204 is 2nd fiddle to the 22-250 and 223. I can still get brass and bullets most times I look. The primers(BR4) are still tricky to find though. Just remember one thing. If this is a political thing, we can change it in 2010.

I would almost bet money that the next pair is going to be Leupold . From what you've posted on the forum, I would have never thought you would ever get rid of Leupold glass.

Re: Winchester necks
Since the 204 is the only high volume gun I've loaded for(400 pieces of brass), I've only seen problems with win.204 brass. The only ones I've found that I rejected had a crease or pleat in the neck. But I figure for the price compared to other brands I can deal with a couple of bad ones in a bag.

Re: Somethin to play with.
My dad had a 7400 in .270. It shot ok, but he had to by round nose ammo for it. He bought a box of Hornady ammo for it one time(pointed soft point) and had problems. When the action fed a round it would shave some of the exposed lead tip and some of the copper jacket. I tried reloading for it, but i...

Re: Posting graphic photos?
I wasn't talking about this site. I was talking about predator masters.com. They have a thread under the Varmint Hunting heading that is discouraging the posting of exploded rats. I was just saying that is what I like about our site, plenty of blood and guts to go around. Trust me, if I took pics. I...

You didn't see blood flowing as it was running away? That's one of the boldest blood trails I've ever seen.

They could be using the "204" as a means to make the cal. more popular. We have all read stories about how the name can hurt or help the cartridge.

Useing air pressure to skin big game?
Last night I was watching Dirty Jobs on Discovery. The job was rendering dead livestock. The 1st process was skinning the animal. They cut a slit in it between the hide and meat. Then they shoved an air nozzle in the slit and turned it up. You could see the skin pull away from the muscle, like blowi...
