Re: .204 reload cost in Australia?
Cheers Bill, I haven't heard of those calibres but will check them out. May be difficult to get ammo in Australia though. You will not be able to find ammo for either 20VT or the 20SCC. These calibers are " WildCats " I shoot the 223, 204R and 20VT, and reload for all 3. IMHO, I think the...

Re: New rifle
I had a 700 and it was a fine rifle...but I heard the siren song of a Cooper .204 Phoenix and like turned into love! Of course the Cooper was twice the price of the Remington! Howa is another option to look at. Gary

Re: talk me into/out of 20vt
I just have to agree with everything said about the 20VT. I ordered mine thru the gun shop, and I had to wait 4 mos to get my grubby mitts on it. Mine is a Phoenix mdl 21 heavy stainless barrel. My personal opinion, with the scope I put on her, the gun is a little heavy, at least for me, to be a wa...

Re: new .204
Congrats on a score! I love my Cooper .204. Out here on the left coast you can still find them, but like most calibers, the .204 ammo is getting hard to find. Gary

Re: Now I know what it feels like to be RIO
Oh Crap! He saw the post! Is there a doctor in the house? We are going to have to drug him to keep him under control, plus he is going to give me the business when he sees my new toy on Wednesday (Not the Ruger either Rick!) See ya soon, Gary

Guys, stop! Rick is hard enough to deal with without you guys puffing him up more!!! If he see this before our trip on Wednesday he will be out of control! Gary
Re: New Toy
Field Report! I took the new Ruger on our first sage rat trip last week and boy oh boy is she a shooter! It will take a little of practice to get used to as she is a LOT lighter than either my Mark III hunter even with it's Tactical Solutions upper on board or my GSG 1911 .22lr. Seven more days till...

Re: New 20 VT rifle in the way!
I've shot hundreds of rounds of HSM ammo in my Cooper .204 with no trouble at all. GarySactoBill wrote:Oh I hope there's nothing wrong with the HSM rounds. I finally have all the supplies I need to reload so as soon as Cooper sends the rifle back, I'll try some handloads.

Re: Remington 700 VLS 204
I had one and it was a fine rifle after a little tweeking (trigger down to 1 1/2 lbs and cleaning up the barrel channel like broper did) but a good deal came along on a Cooper so I sold the Remington. Gary
