Bergcrane2 I wouldn't even if it was legal here in Michigan. I had a friend take a deer with a 22-250 and it ran off and hemorrhaged to death. Energy had no effect on the animal. i have the same cratering problem. My gunsmith told me if accuracy is good savage says there are no safty issues so i didnt worry about it

I think that model already has a free floating barrel .the glass bedding will just keep the action from shifting but is a verry good idea most rifles shoot better after glass some dont change but it locks the action in place. my savage came pillar bedded but i still skim beddid it with glass just to...

The 204ruger in any of the rifles doesnt kick much or muzzle jump if you keep the power on your scope turned down a little bit you can see your impact.
