Re: Greetings from Iraq
OldSchool - Be sure to know that the fact I/we can hug our kids tonight has everything to do with who and where you are. Thank you, and your fellow soldiers. We all owe a great deal to you, and despite the media there are a great many that think the most of you and your kind. Also keep us updated on...

Re: First one for the New Year
Melvin - I bet it's nice to hunt those "virgin" properties. Do you get to go back and try again?
That dog will make a great mount because of its good size, fur condition, and fur color. A good rep for the species. I will be interested to see how it turns out.

Re: 1st fox to the call... Pic's.
Nice fox SS. Wouldn't think she would make it to far into her den after being hit with a your .204. Might be a little much for a fox, but then again, at least you don't have to track them far.
Looks like some pretty heavy snow there.
Thanks for the cool pics, and good luck next time.

I'm not quite sure how to react when I see honest reporting like that. Thanks for letting us know about the clip Glen.

Great write-up SF. It's nice to hear about the dry stands as well as the productive one's. Keeps things in perspective.

Re: Vmax ok for coyotes?
Flash, I've shot 8 coyotes with vmax bullets, and the only one that I lost was a running shot at about 300 yards. I hit that one to far back and then missed the follow up shot as he was nipping at the wound. It's all about shot placement. Just make a good shot, then get ready to shoot again, and you...

Re: Good weekend
Nice going Verm. Sometimes those unassuming spots not far from roads/etc. can be very productive since most people just pass them up. I really like the pics you got of the dogs and coyote. Very cool.

Re: Muzzle loader video
Awesome video guys!!! Looks like you really hit that dog hard. Pretty good size too. What kind of pelt damage did that hollow point do? I shot one with my black powder rig during elk season this year, and in Oregon you can't use sabots, so the slug I was using basically just shot a .50 cal hol...

Another great deer hunt Mel. Congrats to you and Lucas.
If you ever get a hunt captured on video, you should put it on youtube and send us the link.

Re: New to the forum
I'm with GlennGTR. I love mine for yotes because it's a nice light walking around gun. The heavy's are great for squirrels and pdogs, but if you have to carry it much, get something light. However, if you do go the ruger mkII route you might want to replace the trigger. I put a timney in mine and am...

Re: Another .204 coyote and my first kill with my new .17hmr
That .17 has a laminate stock, and it is darker than others I've seen of the same model. I was thinking about saving a little dough and going with a plastic stock, but since it's more of a bench gun then a walkin around gun, I decided to get something a little prettier. Plus, all my friends have the...
