Re: I am hooked.

Va varminter - Calling yotes is a blast, but can be discouraging too. Some days I'll make 10 stands and not get a single on in, but on others I'll have 2 or 3 come in on the same stand. You just have to keep with it. There is lot's of good advice and stratagies out there for you to look at also. The...

Re: Camoing my gun?

Take a look at what huntsman22 has done with his rigs. Blends in well, and has style to boot.
Rick - love the ghillie. He sure would be hard to pick out at 100 yards out!!!

Re: An Amazing Day on the Desert

Verm - it sure is nice to see a whole pile of yotes in that truck. Nice to have multiple shooters setting up each time too. Great job on the yotes...and thanks to your brother for being a true Patriot.

First Coyote of the Season

Sometimes it's Dec. by the time I get serious about calling dogs, but I've had the itch lately so I hoofed it down to one of my favorite spots. Didn't see as much sign as usual, and I had one come in that wouldn't ever come inside 1000 yards or so, so I suspect that there has been some guys callin r...

Re: Is the 204 enough as a full time coyote gun.

I primarily use my .204 as my varmint gun (coyotes, badgers, bobcat). I've only had one "runner" that I didn't recover among about a dozen coyotes and that was due to bad shot placement. It was running up the opposite side of a canyon and I hit it to far back at about 300-350 yards. Last w...

You're a regular rangefinder. How's the bunny population out in those parts this year?

Re: BEST hunt to date, Rhetts 1st dog!

That's a perfect way to get a youngster hooked for sure. Nice job being patient enought to allow your son to do that. Hunting is often a team effort, and it sure is nice to have your kids on the team. Can't wait till my boys are old enough to go out with me.
Great Job!!!

Re: CO 1st season bull

That came out great Don! I've tried a "do it yourself" kit for a set of deer antlers once, and it just wouldn't turn out right. But I think you've got yourself a real nice look using that black leather. Looks like it stretched over the skull nicely so that you didn't end up with a bunch of...

Re: Results of our Elk hunt!

Awesome. It seems more often then not that the journey of the hunt is more meaningful than the score of the rack. Elk hunting is always tough, so it's nice to see it all come together right next to camp!
Congratulations.
