If your starting with a small bolt face action it will cost alot to change it. The 6mmx204 uses less powder to do the samething. You lose the COOL factor. A small boltface 6 seams easier to get to shoot small groups (243's never made it as a benchrest cartridge).

I'd say 3000fps with a 85gr bullet and a 24" barrel, I'm getting 3000fps with an 85gr NBT out of a 22" barrel on the 25-204. Post looking for info on the 6x47mmIMP and that should give you a ball park figure.
