Re: Sako 85 Varmint
It shoots really well. Yeah, good luck with the Ringmounts. I hope it works for you... The gun is good. I'm incredibly OCD, so there are some things that bother me about the design. So I'm constantly tinkering... Feel free to reach out to me with any setup questions.

Re: WTB 39gr Sierra Blitzkings.
Bill, Thank you for the offer. I have some 32s. It has been suggested by the guys I'm going with that the wind will be a major factor where we will be hunting. I picked the wrong time to get into this. I completely understand no one wanting to part with the 39s if they are as good as I have been re...

Berger 35 velocity questions
I finally completed my load development for, 35 Bergers, 32 SBKs, 34 Dogtown, 39 SBKs. I had the tightest groups with 35 Berger and A2230 at 27.6 gr in Nosler Brass. I decided to hook up a magneto V3 chronograph and see where my velocities were. In other calibers I've been pretty close to powder man...

Range Report - Sako 85 Varmint Stainless
I posted earlier about my purchase of a new Sako. I'm in love with the 204R, and added it to a solid shooting Howa in the 204 section of my safe. There was very little by way of review on this rifle on the internet so I thought I'd share my experience thus far. A few observations: The good: 1) This ...

Re: Sako 85 Varmint
Thanks so much for the awesome post! Your rig looks just like mine. I actually inspected it before my background check and it was definitely more slim and trim than I expected for a varmint rifle. I am very excited. The waiting time isn't a state mandate here, its just a function of insane demand fo...

Sako 85 Varmint
Hi guys, decided to go all in on a new Sako Varmint stainless in 204. That is definitely swinging for the fences for me... and by a 2-3× margin the most expensive rifle I've ever purchased. I haven't actually seen it in person yet. I have about 5 days of waiting on background check in Biden's Americ...

Re: Critical life decision, need advice :)
I have three minis. One in an Oryx chassis, one in a Boyd’s pro varmint with magazine bottom metal and one in a B&C stock with flush bottom metal. I like them all with the provarmint 222 being a favorite. The B&C rig is a 6.5 Grendel and is a lite, short handy rig. The Oryx chassis, this to...

Critical life decision, need advice :)
Hi guys, Long time lurker, first time poster, and amateur 204 enthusiast... At a critical juncture... I have a howa mini in 204 hvy barrel. Solid shooter with careful handloads EASY 3/4 MOA rifle, have gotten tighter pretty regularly. That being said, it is bone stock. Im looking at adding the oryx ...
