Re: The Other Morning
We haven't seen mange over here either, but have heard some reports of it. Heard a few cases of parvo around here too. Anyway, good job getting one down.

Re: Local Contest
Yeah, I know, but I didn't want them running away :D I shot it with my .243 AI (pictured). I don't really like seeing coyotes get blown up, but on a contest I don't want them moving an inch. 2 weeks ago we had another one and I hit one in the leg with the 22-250 and it took off for I don't know how ...

Local Contest
My dad posted this on a different forum, so it's all written in his point of view  Thought you all might like it. Verminator2 and I entered a contest here sponsored by The Riley Store and Archery. V2 was in the Youth Hunt and I was entered in The Old Folks Hunt (everyone else). The hunt started...

Re: Some coyotes
Nice Bullfrog. I've heard good things about the noslers.
Rick, if you ever want to bring that Kimber out here and kill some dogs I'm sure dad and I could make time. Of course you would be obligated to let me shoot that kimber

If it was me I would just build the rifle I wanted with all the parts that I like.

Re: 204 ruger vs 220 swift vs 22-250?
Huh, I like it over on PM, although sometimes there are a few people like acloco was talking about. As far as the original topic once I got my 204 I never really went back to my 22-250, it's just as good and fun to shoot.

Re: 32 V-Max Coyote
Some guys use them, I say that they are a little light, you may get splashes and they may be harder on fur, but I've never used them. The 35 Berger is just about ideal for coyotes IMO.

Re: 243 varmint loads
I've been shooting an 87 Vmax in my .243 AI, it's awesome. It has a BC of .400 and it isn't too horrible on fur going 3200. The lighter weights (55,58) are supposed to be good on fur, lots of guys are pushing them 3800-4000 with good luck.

Re: calling pdogs
I've used a coyote coaxer to get sage rats to stand up, but never done it with pdogs.

DTech is also a great great rifle, but you'll have to wait a while.

Re: First black gun
I have one, it's a nice rifle, pretty accurate too. If I could afford it though, I would pick up a White Oak AR.

Re: 204 ruger vs coyotes????
I like the 35 Berger on coyotes, kills them well, with out too many runners. I've also heard good things about the 40 grain Berger and Noslers as far as fur goes, but I've never tried them. We've killed coyotes at 400 yards, but that would be about as far as I would try on a yote.

Re: An Amazing Day on the Desert
Thanks guys, I will pass it along. Ray, I'm not under estimating the .204 at all, just doing a little teasing. I actually like it better than a 22-250. RLK, it depends on the hide, we'll get $15 about average for the whole coyote. We tried skinning and fleshing and stretching last year and it took u...
