Great stuff. People don't realize the great memories a trip like this creates. Friends, family and fun. What's not to like? Glad melvin kept the pd's from going to waste!

Re: CO prairie dog trip

Great stuff, Mike! That looks a little more comfortable than my teepee tent on the Wyoming desert. :) Glad you were able to make it out. Your report is giving me the itch!

Re: CRT Tool Review

BEST darn FUNNEL EVER!! Yes another unsolicited comment on Brad's stuff. 40+ years reloading, never seen a funnel this GOOD :D Steve It's hard to imagine that something as simple as a funnel can actually function so much nicer than others 'till you try it. I'm seriously impressed with how nice my B...

Re: Another 1000 Yard Chuck and More

Thanks for the links. Nice rigs! Yeah, we're shooting 1:8 twist Kriegers in our .243 Ackley's. Ben shoots 105 A-maxes and I'm shooting the 105 Berger VLD's. They should be in the ballpark of your 6mm/107 combo. They'll stay supersonic to 1300 to 1400 yards. I've always felt that to get something sig...

What are you shooting, Ray? I'm always interested in other shooter's LR rigs.

Re: Varmints in Southern Africa

Now that looks awesome! I enjoyed watching the Predator Pursuit episodes when they called Africa. The jackal and caracal respond very similarly to our coyotes. Very cool. Nice photos. Parachute for your vehicle cover?

Re: First hog of the 2012 season.

Nice gun, nice shot and nice 'hog. I don't think I'd have a prayer shooting at one that far away out the window of the truck. I tell people that I'm not a very good shot I just know how to take a good rest. (And, I don't bother shooting if I don't!) Congrats on a fine shot!

Re: Another 1000 Yard Chuck and More

Thanks for the invite, Bob, but I don't think we're going to be able to make it. Ben graduates Friday then we'll be back to getting ready for the last wave of sagerat hunters and a PD shoot in Wyoming (Ben's graduation gift). Going to be another busy month! I left out Ben's 20 yard miss on a badger ...

Another 1000 Yard Chuck and More

Memorial Day found Verminator2 and I in the Outbacks of Oregon looking for rockchucks whom Ben lovingly refers to as "Charles" on an individual basis. The sunshine, blue sky, rock piles and canyons lent themselves to a great day in the field. The lack of wind made the conditions good to &q...

Enjoy your trip, Keith! Hoping to get some pd's in after our sagerats are down for the year.

CRT Tool Review

I'd like to give an unsolicited review of some tools from Custom Reloading Tools (CRT). I've been trying several products manufactured by CRT including a case-specific loading block, a range tray and a powder funnel with caliber-specific interchangeable neck. http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q85/t...

Busman's Holiday

After guiding sagerat hunters for several weeks, I finally got out to shoot a few rockchucks on my own. I wasn't finding many 'chucks in our usual spots so I decided to look in an area Verminator2 and I had seen some sign while calling bobcat last winter. Turned out to have a huntable number so I to...

Re: Fun with Skippy in 2012 Pt. 2 (The Valley of Death)

Good to hear from you, Rick. Glad to hear yopu had another successful season! I've been so busy with 'rat hunters that I haven't been able to keep up with the Forum very well myself this year. The weather has been much more cooperative this season than last although there were still plenty of jacket...
