Great deal. I love my BRF's. Wish I had the jingle for a backup pair. Good luck on your sale.

Re: Skippy is up!

Rick: I try to be pretty careful with our rockchucks but Skippy? It's so hard to impact the plague of ground squirrels with a rifle that it's like using a shovel on a lava flow. The first ones to show are the big (relatively) males so they don't have much impact anyway. But, I guess its all relative...

Re: Couple more Coyotes

Ryan: Sorry to hear about the brochitis. I went through a light case of that myself this winter. The sticks are the Stoney Point Rapid Pivot bipod. They seem like the best of both worlds--sticks and a bipod. The rifle is the original Savage Predator Hunter in .204. It's the blind magazine model. Ver...

Couple more Coyotes

Maybe things are getting better. After taking care of the necessities around the house and the office, I headed out for a few stands. Strictly business, you know. Product testing is top priority around here! ;) The first stand was for bobcats. No one home. Second set was in a large basin where V2 ki...

Re: 20VT - "204 Lite" Redux

She's purty Rick! I need to get me a Cooper .204 one of these days, right after my truck, Nightforce, and .45 XD  I bought my .17 Fireball for squirrels and I just found a load yesterday with 8208 XBR that was just over .4" for three shots. Hopefully if that holds I'll be in business for s...

Bobcat at 15 yards...no shot! Consolation coyote.

The weather finally lined up for some calling today. First three stands were busts. Stand number four was two or three hundred yards from where Verminator2 shot the first of our two bobcat doubles four weeks ago. The wind wasn't very good for a coyote set and I knew there was potential for another '...

675 yard Coyote

Well, it was -23 degrees F here Friday night. We left right at daylight to do some calling but decided to check a dead cow a few miles down the road first. We had watched three coyotes leave the carcass Thursday and were able to get a range on a cow near the carcass at 675 yards. Friday evening my s...

Re: Fun with Helicopters

Yep, that right there has got to be at the top of the fun-meter lsit. Always thought those ADC guys were living it although it ticks me off when I waste a day of calling just to find out they were there days before... But, what the heck, it's all good! Thanks again to you and your sons for your serv...

That's what I'm talking about! Probably the Alpha male. Who knows how many deer that might save! Sounds like a great day. Thanks for the write up.

Re: 12/19/10 Two more.

Great write-up! Thanks for posting. Although I use my .204 for most of my calling, I bought some 65 gr V-maxes for my .243AI that I haven't loaded yet. A lot of people are using the 58 gr V-max but the performance on small varmints leaves me wondering about the potential for splashes on coyotes. I'm...

Re: Ben's First 'Cat...then another...and another...and.... PA

We actually tried weighing the 'cats but it was obvious that our fishing scale wasn't reading correctly. These were all fairly young cats. They probably all weighed in the teens. A good mature bobcat in this country will weigh around 24#. A friend killed a 40# cat last winter but he was pretty excep...

Re: Ben's First 'Cat...then another...and another...and.... PA

Were did you find the bumper sticker? I found it in one of the "Greenest" stores I've ever been in. It was in an eco-friendly clothing shop in Atlanta Int'l Airport (I think). That bumper sticker was the only thing in that store that this country boy could even vaguely connect with! :shoc...
